Why Higher Education roles are hard to fill
A university hires into a governance model with many owners. Council, faculties, and the executive each hold a stake, and a programme director has to carry academics, professional staff, and students with them. Release windows are set by the academic calendar: enrolment, census dates, exams, and results leave little room for a cutover.
